McDonald’s pet application has increased in popularity since it first hit the web last week, and the fast food chain said Wednesday it’s now the most-used online application for job applications.
The application was the first to go live on Tuesday and the latest in a series of job announcements that have put McDonald’s on the map for job seekers who may be in the market for a pet.
It’s a sign that the fast-food chain is preparing to make a comeback in a market where it’s struggling to catch on.
But its pet applications aren’t the only job openings.
In the past few weeks, restaurants across the country have announced they are hiring for entry-level positions.
The company says it has already seen a jump in job applications this month, with more than 10,000 jobs posted online, and it expects the increase to continue in coming weeks.
McDonald’s is currently hiring for a number of new positions in areas such as restaurants, retail, and customer service.
McDonald said its total number of positions will rise to 5,200 in 2019.
The restaurant chain is also ramping up its online marketing efforts, hiring more than 20,000 people in the past month.
In recent months, McDonald’s has expanded its food service offerings, including new restaurants opening in New York and Los Angeles.
McDonald says it’s adding more than 40 new locations in the U.S. and Canada this year.
