The state of Texas is set to become a hub for drug makers looking to recruit pharmacist employees.

On Monday, the state’s Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs announced it would be issuing job opportunities to applicants with a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy.

The job openings are being posted on the state website and will open to applicants by November 15, 2018.

According to a statement, applicants must have completed the minimum requirements and demonstrate they have “demonstrated experience in working with drug manufacturers, including in drug development, manufacturing, and dispensing.”

Applicants with a pharmacy degree will have the option of working in an office environment.

In a statement to The Hindu, a spokesperson for the department said the agency will be offering “job opportunities to individuals who have demonstrated the required skills to operate a pharmacy, who have an interest in working in Texas and who are willing to learn new skills, including pharmacists.”

The statement did not disclose how many positions are available, nor when applicants will be notified of their openings.

In August, the company that makes the popular insulin, Novartis, announced it was adding a pharmacy assistant position in the Austin, Texas area.

The position is in the process of being approved by the state.

In addition to job opportunities in Texas, companies are also looking for pharmacists to work in other parts of the country.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists announced in January it was hiring an additional 400 pharmacists.

It also said the organization would add 1,000 additional positions.
